In Memory of Sylvia Rask

Sylvia Rask

December 10th, 1972 - November 6th, 2000

Sylvia Rask, beloved wife of Anders Rask, and loving mother of Thurman Rask. Her gentle spirit was known to warm the lives of everyone around her, and her presence had personally touched everyone in the town of Anvilwalk.

Known for her kindness and compassion, traits that endeared her to all who knew her, Sylvia was also a creative woman. Beyond being a devoted wife and mother, Sylvia pursued her passions and hobbies. She found great comfort in the art of knitting, and she excelled at glassworking. Sylvia had the gentle soul and kind touch needed to work with such a delicate medium, and her works reflected the love within her heart.

Above all else, Sylvia was known for her generosity. An active member of the Anvilwalk community, she was always willing to lend a helping hand and contribute to local causes. Her presence at town gatherings and her involvement in community projects will be greatly missed.

Though Sylvia had passed 15 years ago, an anonymous patron had personally donated to immortalize her name on our Town Board.

This is but another testament to the echoing effect that Sylvia Rask has had on this town.
